Three days of excitement & education.

My personal review of the Northern DJ Conference.

For those of you were not able to attend the Northern Disc Jockey Conference at Mystic Lake Casino in Beautiful Prior Lake Minnesota, you missed out on more then anyone can really tell you.

You had to be there! It's kind of like when you’re at a great party but have to work the next day so you leave early to catch some zzzzz's. Then the next day people who were at the party tell you about all the great things that happened just after you left....

You missed out on so much at this convention! It was like Vegas but without the show girls and Celine Dion!

John Young, his lovely wife Lori, Publishers of the Disc Jockey News really stepped up to the plate and hit one out of the ball park.

The line up of speakers, presenters and vendors were the best around! If you wanted to buy some really cool equipment at a hot price, this conference was the place to be.

I have been in the DJ industry since 1981 and yet I learn something new at each of theses events from each of the presenters. Little tid bits, hints, ideas and new concepts just handed to you to help you learn and grow.

It is amazing how these speakers are willing to just sit and talk with you to answer your question and really "GIVE" you the meat and potatoes of their experience, specialties and knowledge. I sat with Jim Cerone “The Perfect Host” from http://www.djaradio.com and we just talked about anything and everything.

Along with the scheduled guest speakers, people like Game Master Scott Faver and my personal hero, Mark Ferrell were there: not speaking, not selling anything, just there to talk, give of themselves and share with you.

After my seminar, when people like Jim Cerone, Peter Merry, Mark Ferrel and Scott Faver tell you that you did a great job, it means so much to me.

I know I’m not perfect and still new to the Convention speaking, so when they give me advice on how to punch up or make changes to a particular point, I don’t take it personal and get mad, I pay close attention because they are the best at it.

You should really do the same when it comes to the business of your business. These gentlemen are the best and only want the best for you.

On a scale of one to ten, I would give this years conference two thumbs up!
(That’s eleven if you look at your two thumbs up next to one another)

Thank you to John & Lori Young, all the speakers and all the vendors who made this such a great event.
